This album is a strange, obscure, yet simultaneously fun and exciting psychedelic hip hop journey. Together B1 & Flashbang combine their love of punchlines, obscure references, and thoughtful meditations on modern life, addiction & loss to create a powerful and unique body of work.
Production on the album is primarily handled by B1 The Architect, outside of 2 tracks, (Broken Stairways & ROCK BOTTOM) which were handled by WENDIGO & DJ Goadman . Sonically the album is varied & expansive, yet features a consistent sense of tension. It has elements of the dystopian industrial dread of the EL-P/Def Jux era, as well as the warm & rich textures of the Madlib produced Madvillainy. Flashbang & B1 combine their worldviews, tastes & diverse influences to create a unique and intoxicating aesthetic throughout.
