About the Album
Grime Suppliers is a full-length collaborative album from Canadian producer, MC, and audio engineer B1 The Architect and American underground lyricist G Fam Black. Built around a shared appreciation for rugged boom bap, murky atmospheres, hard drums, and uncompromising lyricism, the project brings the two artists together for a dense and relentless 12-track record that feels both rooted in underground tradition and completely detached from convention.
Across the album, G Fam and B1 combine their individual tastes and creative instincts into a sound that is powerful, intense, psychedelic, and deliberately grimy. Rather than settling into one specific formula, Grime Suppliers constantly shifts its shape—moving between ominous head-nodders, chaotic bursts of aggression, warped psychedelic production, and darker, more cinematic passages. Even as the moods, tempos, and textures change, the record never loses its identity. There is a consistent atmosphere running through the entire project: raw, claustrophobic, strange, and always moving forward.
The majority of the production is handled by B1 The Architect, whose beats form the backbone of the album and give the project much of its sonic character. His production ranges from brutally stripped-down boom bap to more layered and disorienting soundscapes, giving both MCs enough space to attack each track differently while maintaining a unified overall sound.
