Underground HH (Hip Hop Blog)

Website Spotlight

UndergroundHH

Built by the scene, for the scene.

About UndergroundHH

UndergroundHH.com was created to document and support UK hip-hop, with an emphasis on the underground and independent artists, producers and labels keeping the culture moving outside of the mainstream.

The site grew into a deep archive of UK hip-hop history, covering artists, producers, albums, lyrics, news, videos, reviews, interviews, rap battles and independent labels.

More than simply a news site, UndergroundHH has become a place to discover artists, dig through discographies and revisit music and stories that might otherwise disappear as the internet continues to change.

Then & Now
From the Original Fubar's Blog Spotlight

When this spotlight was originally published, UndergroundHH was still in the early stages of its growth. The site had already surpassed 100,000 page views through the work of a small team and support from artists and record labels throughout the UK.

The current UndergroundHH identifies the archive as established in 2011. After years of preserving UK hip-hop material, the site was rebuilt and relaunched in 2026 with the goal of carrying that history forward while rebuilding the type of independent online community that existed before social media became the center of music discovery.

Why It Matters

Keeping Independent Hip-Hop History Online

Before social media became the default home for music communities, independent sites, blogs and forums were where listeners discovered artists, debated albums, traded recommendations and built relationships around the music.

UndergroundHH's rebuild brings that philosophy back while preserving material collected across more than a decade of UK hip-hop history. Instead of allowing old artist pages, lyrics, reviews and releases to disappear into dead links and abandoned platforms, the archive gives that material a permanent home while continuing to document what is happening now.
