Aesop Rock - Black Hole Superette (Instrumentals) (2025)

Aesop Rock’s production on Black Hole Superette marks some of his most spacious, emotionally resonant beatmaking to date. He’s begun shifting away from his earlier, maximalist style toward airier, atmospheric soundscapes built on crisp drums and synths. Across the album, the drum programming balances late‑’80s boom‑bap attitude with modern cyber‑funk punches. Meanwhile, Aesop layers minimal yet expressive textures—from glitchy synth stabs and foggy pads to jittery melodic fragments—creating moody backdrops reminiscent of sci‑fi noir but rooted in hip‑hop’s rhythmic tradition. This instrumental version of Black Hole Superette provides a compelling journey through cinematic, futuristic trip-hop.

Evidence - Unlearning Vol. 2 (2025)

On the opening track of Unlearning Vol. 2, his fifth solo album, Evidence starts by breaking patterns. “Set the autopilot, cruising speed,” he says—a line that evokes his signature laid-back flow. But instead of coasting, the Venice native chooses disruption. “That’s a setup for a punch to land with ‘true indeed,’” he continues, setting the tone for an album that’s less about comfort and more about transformation. The track’s title, “Plans Change,” couldn’t be more fitting.

Since his emergence with Dilated Peoples, Evidence has always exuded a cool, effortless control. But Unlearning Vol. 2, like its 2021 predecessor, rejects any slide into legacy status. It’s not just a stylistic pivot—it’s a deeper, more introspective journey, one rooted in technical mastery but driven by instinct and curiosity. Instead of recycling past glories, Evidence explores rawer emotional terrain, crafting a sound that’s both grounded and experimental.

The production casts a hypnotic spell with tracks like Sebb Bash’s harrowing “Seeing Double,” C-Lance’s nostalgic “Top Seeded,” and Evidence’s own eerie “Greatest Motivation.” Yet his voice remains the anchor, cutting through the haze with precision and depth. Tracks like “Nothing’s Perfect” show his lyrical agility, while “Laughing Last” blends stoicism and vulnerability in reflections on family and loss. Collaborators span eras—The Alchemist, DJ Babu, Blu, Domo Genesis, Larry June, Conductor Williams and more—yet the project stays unified by a core ethos: to reinvent, to recontextualize, and to turn pain into purpose through creativity.

Eclyse x Forge One - Requiem For A Nightmare (2025)

This album is titled “Requiem For A Nightmare”. The title is inspired by the movie Requiem For A Dream” which means “death of a dream” but in this case it’s “death of a nightmare” as in getting rid of any bad things in life or anything that can hold us back from living our lives to the fullest. Basically a metaphor for moving up in and improving in life. Simple as that, its only up from here.

MagiCXbeats - Interplanetary Vibrations (2025)

Keep the adult public attention diverted away from the real social issues, and captivated by matters of no real importance.

We always know, we always know, which is the right way to go, and which is the wrong way to go. Sometimes, the wrong way is easier to go, or more satisfying, and so we choose that way instead of the right one and we justify it with complicated wordplay and such; but we are only kidding ourselves.
